Privacy
This is a small, independent project. I try to keep data collection to a minimum and avoid collecting information that is not needed to operate or improve the site.
The site does not intentionally use third-party advertising or behavioral tracking tools such as Google Analytics, Meta/Facebook Pixel, or advertising networks.
The site itself does not set tracking cookies or create persistent identifiers for the purpose of following individual visitors across sessions or websites.
A small number of limited usage events may be recorded - for example, that an article or source was opened, or that a search was performed. These events are used to understand how the site is used, identify what is useful, and decide what to improve next.
Search is part of this. When something is searched for on the site, the words that were entered are recorded along with the event, so it is possible to see what people are looking for and whether the site is able to answer it.
These usage events are not intended to identify individual visitors. Where possible, they are stored without IP addresses, cookies, session identifiers, or other persistent user identifiers, and they are not used to build user profiles or track people across the web.
Like most websites, this project relies on hosting, networking, and other infrastructure providers to make the site available. Those providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, request metadata, or security logs as part of providing their services, preventing abuse, and keeping the infrastructure operational. This processing is outside the site's own usage analytics and is limited to what is necessary to provide those services.
Information collected by this project is used only to operate, maintain, understand, and improve the site. It is not sold or used for advertising.
This project may change over time. If its data practices change in a meaningful way, this page will be updated to reflect that.

This site is run as an independent project under the name NeuronScale. For questions about this page, or about how the site works, write to contact@neuronscale.com.
Because no accounts, names, or persistent identifiers are collected, the usage events described above cannot be connected to any individual visitor - including by me. That also means a request to access or delete “your data” cannot be answered in the usual way: there is nothing stored that points to a particular person to look up.
